Rainbow touched the sleepy valley below

Yellow streams within cast its glow

Bringing love to all who live there

Share their lives with someone who cares

Planting tulips with ruby red tips

As if the flower was touched by ones lips

Colorful blooms for all to enjoy

Brings happiness to every girl and boy

Evening comes slow but sure

Ends the day with love that is pure

As lovers wish upon a shooting star

Dreams of happiness will take them far

A Solitary Smile

How does one capture true love from

another heart that carries a frown that

hides their emotions from the world?

Or, how does one escape true love

and move within their own world not

concerned with the love of another?

Is life complete as one remains a single

shade on the painter’s pallet that drips as

paint does from the end of the brush?

Simple conclusion - it is acceptable for one

to remain alone, content with life’s path

and teachings of the world and her rules

as the heart accepts today...

with a solitary smile!

A Glorious Pause

Rhythm comes as the breath

releases thoughts of contentment -

a rhythm that brings joy to the heart

filling it with delightful pleasures

Silently the breath is consumed

again, life is digested deep within -

a pale glow come to light as the

breath’s strength nourishes

Serenity now becomes one with

a glorious pause at this moment -

whispers of prayer and then a

spoken word gives thanks

Gim'me Chocolate

Gim’me Chocolate

Well, my entry is kind of bland,

cause I’m on a weight loss diet,

dessert is not good for this hungry hand

But, when I do have something sweet

it’s instant pudding, chocolate and yummy,

a creation that is quite a fulfilling treat

Open the Jello-O Pudding brand,

mix lovingly with one and half cups sweet milk,

fold in a half tub of cool whip with the other hand

Pour this mousse mixture into half cup dishes

chill just 5 minutes in your faithful refrig,

top with cool whip to fill your sweet wishes

Soothing my sweet tooth’s craving til

tomorrow when my tummy cries again -

Travel the road with questions

look high and low along the way

seek your answers; do not soar

The Lightning Tale

 Lightning sizzles the darkened sky

not asking anyone how or why

brings depth to the moments hand

terrifies every creature and man

 Moves with wild startling speeds

screams with a fire tongue that leads

looses its uncontrolled inner soul

as fury commands its devilish toll

 Lightning the rage starts to succumb

all bow, their souls burnt into one

wiped away from coolness they found

only to be burnt, buried into the ground

 Violence slowly comes to an end

as swirles calm the darkened wind

brings peace with a sorrowed frown

The Heart...

There comes a time in ones life

when the cloud that covered

ones mind suddenly opens -

New rays bring light of happiness

light of reform, light of rebirth

Slowly, the mind is restored as

faith again takes the painful load

that consumed the tired brow of dismay

surely, restore ones life with glad tidings

of calm, that the day will be - as promised

Clear skies with delightful moments one

endures the joy returned in a bountiful leap

Again, new vision to eyes once dimmed

by gloom that surrounds the world on

an everyday dislocated weary basis

It is a time to rejoice, to cheer

with glee at the discovery of what

He had envisioned for ones life

Quickly shadows of the darkened hall

disappeared, His promise is the light

Gracefully restored as it should be this heart

again is full of love, full of a bright glow -

until the next time but, also with a new

reasoning within ones mind how to

calmly handle grief as it arises

 Combating the Devil who casts his hate

creating a painful lost life, His glory teaches

one how to cope and come to terms within

 their own peace again, one step at a time -

the essences of a summer’s glow,

brings life to all that see her bright

Thoughts come to mind

not everyday, but enough

that my thoughts of the past

of a brother gone from me,

a brother who chose to be lost

living in his own private world

This is his right and choice, but

pain from within my soul remains,

pain of anger and confusion as to

why life dealt us the hand of departure,

my memories come again as I remember

moments when my big brother was there

I shall contain fondness in my heart and

remember him, for nothing in this world can take

my memories of the good that we shared as children

from me, love that rids the pain of hell we endured,

my sisterly vision sees him within my mind with love
