Truth and Trust

Honesty is either there or not

some just can't find it within their hearts

stories are told to please only them

lies get bigger from the very start

Why aren't people more honest today

lips move from one lie to another

how does a heart grow in purity

when filth in one's mind gets no better

Believing in truth among strangers

and honesty with love ones prevails

as truth is lost so is one's respect

truth hides deep inside walls as one wails...

 then love dies slow death in wall's plaster

Quiet is the day

kitties take their snooze

filled hungry tummies

happy and content

What a life they have

mommy does it all

they're happy and well

blessed and safe at home

God loves animals

whether big or small

He calls to humans

care and love also

lots of love to share

born with gentle heart

for God's creations...

Easter Joy

Easter a quiet day for some

sun shines so its not too glum

families go and do their thing

some to church as their bells ring

Singular day the time goes by

family far away I don't see why

but all live the way that they do

why question about them or you

Another holiday goes its own way

Happy Easter that's what some say

spread a bit of joy here and there

let others know someone does care

Be kind to one and all today

spread joy the sociable way

time goes by so very fast

today could be one of our last...

Rain on windowsill

washes the panes down

Waiting for Love...

Disappointment comes in all sizes

small one day a bit bigger the next

confidence learned from experience

as one deals with this and with that

Situations can't be taken as fact

example love isn't always there

sometimes it can drift quickly away

for it wasn't kept strong and alive

Love as with everything else in life

has to be worked on every day

keep the spark alive and glowing

for if not the glow quickly fades

Today with the fast past of the world

love isn't always around the corner

for one to find the other takes time

grasp the moment know you are blessed...

Went to lunch today with friend

saw a family with young tots

of course had to say 'hello'

smiled with beautiful family lots

Little baby has shy sister

Daddy looked a bit shy too
didn't want to speak just ate

Mommy and I spoke they chewed

They all brought me such joy

lovely family that they are

kind of sad as my family

lives away so very far...

no Burgers at Wendy's for us!

Sissy Girl

Sissy at the Windowsill ~ 2 Years Old

Sissy sits on the windowsill

sun shines on her bright

she sees all the squirrels

sit quiet not to fright

Special spot she loves

goes there all day long

sees the leaves that fly

but in house she belongs

If she does go out

she must stay by me

such a good girl she is

happy on the grass is she

Sissy is a bit rebellious

but does what she is told

I control her inside life

be good so you'll grow old...

Chores always come around
just when one wants to rest

vac dust clean up the sink

everyday is a test

Easy done when one's young

energy at a high

chores zipped through easily

all done no question why

Today lazy no dust

but laundry must be done

load car another chore

up to me I'm the one...

Spoke to a sweet family member

he answered the phone today

he is my Son-in-Law who is special

young, handsome bright as a sun ray 

He makes my day so happy

with his uplifted spirit and tone

sounds like he is always smil'in

when I talk to him on the phone

He lives far away from me

long two day travel by car

wish to visit Daughter and him 

but the visit is way to far

Daughter is truly blessed

she found this wonderful man

I saw the happiness in their eyes

when he asked her for her hand

Blessed am I to say the least

to have a family member so fine

a loving and caring young man

joined our family at the right time...

Yeah for Old People!

Age doesn't always become us

moods change as posture changes too

attitudes become more vivid

to those around them who listen

See this in a community

where mostly are now of the aged

they see no more life before them

prefer to sit and be waited on

Some don't feel this downward stale life
they walk talk and play cards with friends
attitudes up and pleasurable
happy smiles they share with other

These are the people to be with
most uplifting and supportive
polite and happy in themselves
brings joy to those who cross their path...

Life

Personalities change

from one thing to another

wonder why one thinks

the way they do

Everything seems to be Ok

no matter what it is

because freedom allows
whatever one desires

Heck with the neighbor

and the person walking

on the street or in a store

as people do their own thing

Being from the old school

this isn't a life I have chosen

kindness to others does matter
being polite is a virtue even though...

To talk with someone you like is great

you smile laugh and feel very special

its all secret because they don't know

you have a huge lovey crush on them

As time goes by feelings and crush grows

daily one longs to come upon them

hope for a simple conversation

Love and infatuation is great

ones lifts to unbelievable heights

the world no longer spinning around

Jesus Protects  His Little Children

Wishing upon a star was fun as a kid

dreams were believable and simple

visions of beautiful sky with rainbows

overtook us with excitement and joy

Innocents was plentiful years ago

not too many worries nor fears in us

let us run down the sidewalks and we'd play

loud laughter and giggles were heard by all

Those days seem to have vanished from our lives

wonders of what is around the corner

what will jump out from the dark path ahead

scenes once only in nightmares now appear

A whole new world out there for one to learn

caution taught very young age for safety

don't speak to strangers the new daily rule 

stay in a group to feel safe in the sun...

remember...Jesus always is watching

Our minds are full of stuff!!!

The mind is a deep and serious thing

with questions thoughts and confusing ideas

a walk into the darkness can shatter

peaceful times can consume the emotions

Happiness within brings all joy and love

to maintain this environment takes time

for the rush and discomfort does surround

hidden in four walls will contain most thoughts

Caring and love with the family remains

distance between souls removes time that binds

as each moves in their own pattern of life

love remains but companionship is lost

Bright dreams appear within the darkened night

warmth overcomes moments one spends alone

morning sun wakes to new glorious day

move on with motion and positive thoughts...

one is reassured of self completion
