Gracie's Grounded...

Gracie has
terrible Asthma
so she is
grounded
from going
outside to see
if the grass
triggers
attacks!

Gracie is an unhappy girl right now...

Max and Gracie come out to smell the flowers
every day on LI in NY. They stay with me every
moment - if they don't they have to 'go into
their house'! I leave the screen door open so
they can run right in. My neighbors are
amazed at how they both listen to me...rg

Kitty Play Time

My Kitties hearts I did touch today
as they romped and played with me,
chasing them around the room
such fun we always have, us three

Moments of joy we share together
tossing their little toys in fun and play,
they hop and jump chasing each other
bringing back the toys - meow they say

My Kitties fill my heart with love
each morning I wake with hugs and purrs,
it’s 6 am; they want me come play,
or open a can of wet food, cuz -

wee’ze hungry, Mom, they say!!!

Sounds of Summer

Excited mother bird
flies over tree tops,
as I hold my eager cat
in the bright sunlight
of the dawning day

Rooster’s from a nearby
neighbors yard crows sounding
their continuous screeching
wake up call as they announce
to all the day has just begun

Looking down into my garden
I hear sounds of little feet moving,
as tiny creatures scurry from
here to there in an attempt again,
to survive the coming days journey

Flower pedals open with a silent calm,
reaches for the warmth of the yellow sun,
displaying beauty to all who take
a moment to view their rainbow hues,
a moment too capture their fragrance as the -

sounds of summer come to claim me again

Time to Give Up the Car Keys...

Considering dogs are very aware of their surroundings
maybe one should heed his observations...
