'A New Friend'
Meeting new people
can be a surprise
with new conversation
that opens ones eyes
Daily living can be a bore
same routine that's not a choice
as time creeps by slowly
it's nice to hear a new voice
Today is one of those days
a new voice did I hear
actually met him two days before
didn't realize he lived so near
Word of mouth went around
need a 'lift chair?' - someone it found
knock at my door 'it's yours', I said
happy was he voice joyous in sound
So that's my story of today
happy am I 'lift chair' given away
a new friend hoping I have found
maybe come future we can hang...around
