A Slower Pace...

 

 Time passes so fast

a blink of the eye its gone

moments don't seem to last

an hour isn't very long

 

As a child the day seemed forever

time was with us morning till night

seemed evening was something of never

played and all was just always right

 

Now age has caught up on us all

fast pace just isn't to be

at a moments notice once may fall

walk slowly so the eyes can see

 

Happy a snowy day is here

whether it drifts fast or slow

learn to enjoy all days of the year

there are many places still to go...

 Urges capture the mood

life has changed for all 

calm living is a thing of the past

 

One is to take baby steps

as creativity within this world

remains unsettled and confused

one is to remain focused - it's difficult

as time passes thoughts become clear

hope is in the wind along with prayers

our disruptive lives soon will settle

 

What else is one to possibly think

where can one hide in a dangerous world

how do we cope with sorrow that remains

Deep Thoughts...

 Memories come back

from time to time

thoughts from years ago

happiness sublime

Where did it go

why did marriage leave

all was taken for granted

because it was believed

 

Going day by day

all becomes a style

no thought of tomorrow

all seems to be worthwhile

 

But then something changes

life is in shock for it fell apart

  life can't return to it's start...

 

 silently it now walks

I was married to a wonderful man for 25 years - but, then it fell apart. Why? Who knows! I blame myself for I became stagnate and unappealing and completely sweep into being a housewife - not a wife! But, I am happy to say my relationship with my X is very good, for as I stated he is a wonderful man as well as a great X husband....rg

Kitties lay on the bed while Mommy does her things

 sleepy eyes on their heads dreams fly with golden wings

Peace is all around comfort touches us all

totally quiet is the sound nothing dares to fall

Three of us in our home we take one day at a time

none of us want to roam our love is so sublime

Blessings come to us thankful yes we are

sins fall with His touch - faith is greatest by far...

Thoughts of Long Ago...

 

Herefords Feeding...

 

Hooves pounded the ground

a daily occurrence with the cattle

as they saw the truck they'd

come a running in a herd

They'd wait for the alfalfa

as Dad unloads for them

tails whipped and heads sway

in the wind upon the ranch

Days are gone but memories remain

young years were a blessing

all is within my heart forever for

now I remain in an ordinary life...

Author's Note:

My Dad was a Cattle Rancher north of

Sacramento, CA.We raised Herefords

(white face cattle). As I grew up I rode

the fences with him, saw the cattle branded

with our Bar X Brand and fed them alfalfa too!

I am so grateful for my 14 yrs with my Dad

and all his teachings - He was a huge animal

lover, learning it all from him so am I...rg

Nature's Gift...

Flutter of the wings

brings a slight breeze

around the bird feeder

 

One at a time turns are taken

but if one crowds they are left out

manners among nature does prevail

 

Daily my eyes see them feeding

joy fills my heart as they eat

I know nature is surely heaven sent...

Where Are the Sweet Dreams...

  

 Where are the dreams today

do they flutter here and there

nothing more to do than wander

clear the mind and continue on

 

Where are the goals today

they float aimlessly adrift

kind of fumble around within

 want to lead but somehow held back

 

Where are the feelings from inside

they are there but buried deep

want to come out but they are alone

need to reorganize and start anew

 

Where are the hopes of happiness

if it is to be it depends on the mood

important to have a mind with optimism

for without it one's joy shall surely parish

Alone???

Hmmm, dare I forget I

have Gracie & Ginger???

 

As the wind changes its direction

movement slow down its destiny

for going it alone is a trip

that is a difficult challenge

 

Calm the mind to stay focused

give the body courage that it needs

know in the heart all will be well

as one continues on a single journey

 

Life is what it is who knows why

either one is happy or carries a frown

choosing which is the best is difficult

for life changes on a daily basis...

Life has a funny way of opening

 her arms when you least expect it

As one walks on their daily path

they find the path has a new curve

The curve seems gentle and kind

as a social moment comes to view

It’s like a new adventure as one

explores a unexpected connection

Friendships surface when least expected

This huge world now become small as

minds join and laughter becomes one

a comment or two becomes a memory

One who values a friend wears a warm heart

words shared between two takes meaning

Over time, the friendship will grow and make

the world a bit nicer than she already was

Touch My Soul

 

  Arms that touch her soul
 contains life with a certain goal
that was hidden from the world
brings blushes to this little girl

A rose touches her cheeks
joy comes to day of bleak
as the lilies come to full bloom
fragrance comes to her stale room

God’s eyes bring daydreams to thee
grows in beauty her eyes do see
she feels a kiss upon her young brow
feelings do not know why or how

A true beauty she has become
for now she has become one
the flame deep inside her frame
shall burn, but no scars shall remain –

as she regains her simple sanity now
from hidden mysteries upon her brow

Within one's eye

light will be seen

pain only in between

Long time to come
the world is at woe
people still are hurt
with no where to go

Messed Up Kitty Food Order!

Help comes along the way

when questions being asked

about order not complete

all's settled with me at last

Automation is great

moves one along real fast

one, two, three order is placed

all one has to do is ask

Mistakes are made

fingers hit wrong key

little patience is all it takes

to satisfy one with glee

So kitty food is ordered

mistake now correct

order will come tomorrow

Become Whole Again...

Peaceful meadow filled with buds of beauty

dance in the wind that spreads colorful waves

to all who fill their hearts with gentle love

smiles wipe the frowns as serenity comes

Twisted minds are calmed just for a moment

allows destined light to a despoil path

peaceful calm listened to one’s lonely heart

light upon one’s eyes show pathway ahead

Footsteps in one’s stride directly broadened

one’s path become visual and ready

new direction, new thoughts, new horizon

rejects fear continues directed walk

Minds confusion calmed as the light prevailed

faith overtakes the weakened structures state

trust gained as stable foot carries the body
