Whitnelle...

There is beauty in allowing yourself
to be open to the pain of tears...
- Author Unknown
Tears

Heart is full
of emotions

words of woe
from another
crying tears
lost is her sight
her world is dark - heart is full

Emotions
tears that stream
mind confused
her shivers crawl
slowly creep
one of cold form
eyes are still from - emotions

Words of woe
she shifts her thought
controlling
her flow of tears
dries her stains
regains the strength
shuts out devil - words of woe

Another
thought becomes real
weakness fads
decisions made
tears now dry
spirit will soar
heart is full for - another

Welcome Spring

Welcome Spring

This year I have waited like no
other for Spring to come back my way.
Watching the silent trees for a signal of new growth,
listening for the birds to sing their first tune,
watching people to see if they step just a bit lighter.

Spring you have come again with beauty.
You are finally here for all to sing about.
Seeing the Daffodils starting to grow
Tulips poking their new born sprouts up
through the hardened earth reaching for the sun.

I am happy for my Spring is here.
I am going outside to enjoy every moment
of this glorious time of year,
seeing it all, the new growth of it.
spending every second I can in God’s...

seasonal creation of love

Free Verse...

The Cosmos

Man’s mind spins with uncertainty
of the myths around one’s soul
questions of the ageless universe and its
solar system of depth beyond man's eye

Penetrating ancient books of repeated lists
of misunderstood statements from minds
that search to reveal what is hidden within
black galaxy of stars and their rotating planets

Such searching remain with questions
for the quest to reveal has gone on for
thousand of years with the evolution of man
and the creatures who inhabit earth with him -

He will continue to search for answers
as to the existence of the Cosmos

'Halo Reach'

Within My Reach

I am happy, laid back and everything is going my way!
You know why, I ask? Because I have faith -
Yes, a simple five letter word that contains hope,
promise and love not only for myself, but for others.

Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t always this way!
I had to work at achieving this graceful state,
working some days just a little bit harder to keep
faith within my reach, for the world can be harsh.

One must love themselves in order to feel the love
towards others. The jealousy, anger or mistrust has
to be barred, in order to go forth with joy in one’s heart,
wearing a facade only covers the inner pain of sadness.

One can pretend as they carry that dark cloud upon
their weary shoulders. No, learn to be in love with one’s self,
as you take a moment to notice what is around the bend so
you may touch others with the beauty growing within your soul -

then and only then, will you feel His grace.

Rhyme...

A Pen’s Expression

Poetry, expression to share
hidden in an eternal hall;
written with emotional flair
poems safe in a journal’s wall.

Emotions mentally engaged
poetry, expression to share,
line by line gives birth to a page
ink drying on paper with care.

Words conveyed so one is aware
secrets told a revealing way,
poetry, expression to share
calls you hear what words may say.

A poet’s world is a gentle way
composed with compassionate care,
words penned forever and a day
poetry, expression to share.

- Rhoda Galgiani
