Anjana to Their Rescue...

When hurricane Hannah separated two white tigers from their
mother, Anjana came to the Rescue. Anjana, a chimp at TIGERS
in South Carolina became surrogate mom and playmate to the
cubs, even helping with bottle feeding, according to The Sun.
But, here's the truly amazing part - This is something
Anjana does all the time, having helped raised
leopard and lion cubs on several occasions.

We took them at night when first discovered...

A Dove's Dream...

Wing span seeks the circle of
bright white light above its tips,
gliding as if an artist pen lingers
in the feathers of delicate white

Height touches a shivering cold
not yet warmed by the venture,
waits to happen within the flight
of the Dove’s struggling wings

Flying in a circular fashion that
lifts the Dove higher and higher,
the wings momentum climbs steady
to reach the glowing white light

Blinded by the brilliance the flight must
quickly descend coming back to a reality,
to one’s station in life that is home as
the Dove that was dreaming - awakes

The Sixteenth Year...

The thought of sixteen comes painfully,
as if a stab in the heart from a memory
of an unfair justice, a choice not made of me,
a decision coming from a greater power
an event that is not of my will.

Yesterday is so vivid, painfully real,
a reality that I never want to endure again,
before my eyes close for the final journey,
when I seek the peace and love from my God,
as He promised me from the beginning.

A single tear comes to my eye as I
remember you and then I weep for
you are no more, you I cannot touch,
you I cannot see or lovingly feel,
for you were taken away for a purpose.

The memory of you is vivid as I remember
the gentleness of your eyes, the sweetness
of your smile, remembering the softness
of your voice as you whispered,
“I love you, Mom”.

I cry tears of a Mother’s emptiness,
for my Sunshine was taken that day
you saw the bright light leading
you to wherever we take our journey,
wherever is His will, whatever is His plan -
knowing we shall embrace again.

Dance of Daydreams...

They stood together quietly talking
not saying what is in their heart
just words repeated from one to another
trying to reason with the scene at hand

She danced to her own tune quietly
spins with twirls gently on the stones
a hum in her throat combined with
twinkling in her eye creates a canvas

Those around her whisper words of envy
for they haven’t the will to display such a dance
for they hide in their own dark shadowed walls
and yet, long to display what they think is valid

Her hair flies in the wind, gentle curls frame her face
delight is conveyed in her girlish structure as she
continues her dance in the square - they watch
unaware of their glaring eyes she now bows -

as she finishes her dance of daydreams

Height of Clarity...

If a dream dies
it is like a broken-winged bird
that cannot fly

Hold fast to dreams
Colored visions in memories
Tuck them away

Mend broken-wing
So bird flies to clarity height
Brings new visions

Author's Note:
Twister poetry form consists of ten words in one verse; two words for each of the five
lines. Words one, four, five, eight and nine are printed in bold and make up the first verse.
This should read clearly. Words one to ten make the second verse. This gives the ‘twist’
to the poem and again should read clearly, two verses in one poem - the title should be
one word - no punctuation - Rhyming optional...rg

Tranquil
Taunting
Double meows
She’s up
He’s down
Hey, holy wows!

Big bang
Bouncing
Who made that noise?
Kitties?
Not them
No, with their toys

Stirring
Stepping
On bed by me
Bonded
Living
Life just us three

Poetry Form by Rhoda Galgiani, Poet

The Sea Lives

The sea taking a salty breath
Hurried to wake the sleepy shore
Evades life by a drowning death
Holds the sandy earth by its core

Ends a struggle buried within
Never believed in its own wake
Enters a place where oceans spin
Nature’s riptide died in its quake

Every child laughs a joyous sound
Delighted sea dances in wave
Evil thought now hide below ground
Discover seashells they now crave

Ending toils shall now disappear
Rough sea became gentle white knight
Today children play with no fear
Ready to smile waves are just right

A Day of Joy...

Rainbow touch the sleepy valley below
Yellow streams within cast its glow
Bringing love to all who live there
Share their lives with someone who cares

Planting tulips with ruby red tips
As if the flower was touched by ones lips
Colorful blooms for all to enjoy
Brings happiness to every girl and boy

Evening comes slow but sure
Ending the day with love that is pure
As lovers wish upon a shooting star
Dreams of happiness that takes them far

Silhouette in the Sun

Hills outside the valley
picturesque in brilliant green
talk to us and our souls
reminding what’s in between

Heaven’s blue will capture you
taking us into rapture’s flight
saving all in a single bound
accepting His destiny’s plight

Speak to Him and call His name
for His words echo’s in our minds
teaching us love and forgiveness
will save our earthly souls in time

His breath was taken long ago
for His flock it’s said, that He died
my sinner’s eyes look at Him
I feel His pain as I cried

Today, bright and glorious blue
I feel His love surely come
For we are but a silhouette
in the shadow of His sun -

remembering the day, He died
for each and everyone

Poetry with Photo's...

Rise Above

The sun beams, creating diamond light
on a river that cascades carelessly
as a hawk slowly glides upstream
I rest amid the ghosts of evergreens
surrounded by blazing wildflowers
gazing up at tall maples of brilliant green
to the blue that speaks in whispers
I drift in the calm and rise above

I Trust...

I trust in Him always
Never have I been scorn
For He shows me my path
Showing me truth and love
I am saved from my wrath

I trust in Him always
He makes sure I am safe
Protects my daily stride
Guides me on my journey
Whether narrow or wide

I trust in Him always
For His truth cares for me
He clears dark eyed vision
Counsels my every move
Make the right decision

I trust in Him Always
I will follow Him home
For He is my true Lord
I never need to fear
With Him, my soul has soared

Lost...

Alone was I, not known as why
Going on about my way
As I grow tall, I will show all
Time will tell - is what I say

Show me the path, take me from wrath
Walking towards a straight line
It is my dream, a laid out theme
That will shine my light in time

Questions I ask, inside a mask
Secretly keeping me sound
Nurtures my soul, from its harsh toll
Until the day - I am found

Saddened Tear...

Love hides
A sea inside
Roll-a-coaster it rides
Sadly, it cried
Love hides

Drowned heart
Tastes salty rain
Love drifted far apart
Heart lost again
Drowned heart

New breath
Renews one’s heart
Takes saddened tear from death
Trust from the start
New breath

A Kitty's Game ~

Gracie 3 (l) and Max 16 (r)
Waiting for those Snow Birds...

Clear
Window
Kitty’s peek
What can they see?
Looking for those birds outside
Wishing they would fly and glide
Swoop by the window sill
Kitty’s play their game
Claw the window pane
Inside no gain
Mewing with pain
Dang it!
Flew
Hey!
Slow
Up
Birds
Dream on Kitty Cats
As you, mew Oh, rats!
Tomorrow you play
With Birdies all day
At the window sill

Francis the Cat ~ by John Henson

Bonsoir mon ami I am Francoise Le Chat
That’s French you know, for Francis the cat
Here on the Champs Ellysees pickings are fat
And beautiful Mademoiselle’s stop for a chat

Oolala my friend I am in love with them all
Well! I am a young garcon and having a ball
Friends tell me the ladies will be my downfall
So! Until that happens, I will give them my all

I am the aristocat, the lord of the alleyways
Someone crosses my path and bravery he displays
Why I can run faster I know all the pathways
Though the ladies this somewhat dismays

Still I am the greatest there has ever been
A pussy cat extraordinaire, lean and mean
When I’m running away from the scene
I’m the fastest feline the world has ever seen

Happy Easter 2012

Knowing deep in our hearts
we shall come around again in time -
we salvage what truth is for we
shall draw upon it twice as much

Knowing deep in our minds
faith is the key to our sanity -
we lean to those who bring us
safety with their heartfelt love

Knowing deep in our beings
a sanction is waiting to comfort -
leading us to a light of fulfillment
and joy with others who know -

Him

Joyous Easter Holiday from our home to yours -

From the Inside Out...

Gracie...

Gracie...

You wake my senses with loving charm as you caress my sleeping form, that brings me out a deep slumber you wake me to the light of an early morn

Sleepy eyed I look at you
excitement stirs within your heart,
knowing I am now awake
brightens your waiting day to start

Each morning you come to me
touching my closed eye or my cheek,
some days you lean against my side
finding your own safe place to sleep

And, some morns I wake upon my own
wondering if you forgot me that day,
how silly am I for there you come
you hear me stir as I get up my way -

Kitty Play Time...

My Kitties hearts I did touch today
they romped and played with me,
chasing them around the room
such fun we always have, us three

Moments of joy we share together
tossing their little toys in fun and play,
they hop and jump chasing each other
bringing back the toys - meow they say

My Kitties fill my heart with love
each morning I wake with hugs and purrs,
it’s 6 am they want me to come play,
or open a can of wet food, cuz -

wee’ze hungry, Mom
they say!!!
