Age comes to everyone

whether they want it or not

days go into months and then

one says where did it all go

 

Past twenty five years are gone

quickly they pass from morning to night

without thinking we go our way

waiting for our sun to rise

 

Another birthday is here again

celebrate I will with joy

although alone that is Ok for

Gracie and Ginger celebrate with me

 

So, Happy Birthday to me

thanking the Lord for my long life

I talk to Him all the time

saying that I will live to 110!!!

A Dark World Longs For Sunshine...

Wonderlands wander within ones mind

as one lingers in a motionless pause

dreams of peaceful contentment consumes

tries to wash away uncontrollable vibes

 

Life has changed that brings discomfort

wanders through the hours of a daily run

one takes the moments as they come

with hope brightness will cover them

 

One who is of the older lived generation

life is confused meaning where it will go

it is seen today with a dark cloud but

one hopes to lighten a moment with sunshine

 

Thoughts with a down dark meaning

brings discontent as it stays in the mind

clearing the thoughts helps for the moment

as sunshine beams come to consume us

Thoughts of what surrounds an individual

comes and goes with the heated world

thus, calm of years ago is gone - disappeared

manners are lost kindness now forgotten

 

The forgoing can't be regained

as the world can't be reborn

thus, people are what they are today

misunderstanding continues to grow in people

 

Believing Christian and Religious people

maintain internal faith in our creator

thus, blessings that come from Him

are granted purely by His true love

 

Thoughts of what surrounds an individual

are placed upon this blank page

thus, all won't conform to the words

but understanding may come slowly

 The sun touches the earth

brings growth all around

with His hands blessings

spread to those who believe

 

New world sways ones thoughts

hate and discomfort covers

our gentle being which

becomes a discontented soul

 

Faith need to be maintained

for one to continue on

without it one will surely

die in a heated wave of hell

 

Trust is the key for ones safety

His love will grow and protect

learn to believe His words

without them we are surely lost

Happiness Within Ones Soul...

 

Happiness is a feeling of joy

as one searches realities of life

so much to investigate daily if

one takes time to be motivated

One step at a time is the key

to find peace within oneself

sometimes it is slowly learned

with events one encounters

Life is short and strenuous daily

as one walks their given paths

but, with the right attitude

positivity is learned and gained 

 

Happiness can be short lived

with our ups and downs of life

positive attitudes is the key for

without it one will surely die...unhappy

He Loves ME...

 

 The heart is empty
with no one around

must gain positivity

within my own space

Happy with outlook

of what can or may be

only wish for more

bonding so feel not empty

Life is cared for

blessed in that respect

but, people are distant

and family is lost

 

So...must carry on

with a positive attitude

for I know I am loved and

A New Friend...

'A New Friend'

Meeting new people

can be a surprise

with new conversation

that opens ones eyes

Daily living can be a bore

same routine that's not a choice

as time creeps by slowly

it's nice to hear a new voice

Today is one of those days

a new voice did I hear

actually met him two days before

didn't realize he lived so near

Word of mouth went around

need a 'lift chair?' - someone it found

knock at my door 'it's yours', I said

happy was he voice joyous in sound

So that's my story of today

happy am I 'lift chair' given away

a new friend hoping I have found

maybe come future we can hang...around

Freedom Flight...

 

 Little birds spread your wings

eager to swiftly fly away

up and down they went

their bodies always in a sway

 

See the tree branches full

they land by a natural nest

take a snooze this afternoon

will fly after they rest

 

Freedom comes to those who wait

sparkles touch their wings

happiness is all a silent glow

appreciating all precious things

 

Evening comes very soon

nighttime all gently sleep

tomorrow is another day

peace is theirs none shall weep

Growing With Growth...

Yeah, I am learning

I CAN handle what comes my way...
 

Emotion controls most

with feelings one doesn't want

situations appear from nowhere

one goes along at ones own pace

 

No matter how calm one becomes

another uncertainty appears

questions dart in and out

the mind becomes confused

 

Situations become calm again

one sorts all reoccurring problems

confusion shall be set aside

control gained with confidence

 

This is good until the next time

lessons for control are being taught

understanding is being maintained

as one grows with age, so does the mind

2022 A New Turnaround...

Mentally I am full of joy 

I changed my thought of sadness

to smiles with happy feelings

 

If one continues to think sad

they will be sad, but

if we think joy we will

have happiness in our hearts

 

Watching Joel Osteen last night

this is what he preached

think joy and you will feel it

do an uplift and turn yourself around

 

Sounds good to me for our thoughts

are what we are and this is what

I am going to practice to change

my mental health around in 2022...

One's words will break a heart

without regret harshness is said

without regret one doesn't consider

Thought play a part in conversation

words chosen should be considered

words chosen do have meaning

words chosen are deeply heard

 

Regret plays a role in one's company

forgiveness should be shared together

forgiveness should be spoken with love

forgiveness should be fulfilled if one desires...

Within Ones Self...

Thoughts ramble through the mind

coming from long ago to the present

wondering why as one puts aside

until the next moment they come again

 

If one doesn't have current activity

of course thoughts will come from long ago

a friend the age of 98 told me this

she is soooo right with her thoughts

 

Living alone is separating and difficult

one tries to have an active life

but at an older age this is defeating

as most friends are now gone

 

Thank God for my two kitties

they are my family whom I talk to

they listen and know Mommy's words

I have taught them to understand...

Emotions seem so real

all seems to flow just right

not too much thought

Time passes slowly

info comes in spurts

visions here visions there

all seems to be just right

 

Information continues to grow

small warnings float in the air

words speak with ups and downs

listener on a changed path too long

 

Emptiness consumes body

want to fulfill a joint relationship

friends with new conversation

movements to new areas...

when can one become calm

 

Surrounding issues bring harm

walking away one still carries doubt

 

Cut off seems to be the answer

remove self from the unrest

walk one's own new direction

Conversation bewildering

as some don't think

words flow aimlessly

causing some confusion

 

Questions cause alarm

some don't want to answer 

those who ask considered nosy

sometimes one just can't win

Learning to go about ones way

conversation is limited and empty

just as the world is today - false

lost if one doesn't own a cell phone

 

So one moves on slowly

taking in nothing as usual

but confidence within ones self

some fall back forget what was taught

daily prayer even just a word or two

Dance Steps in Life...

Slow is thought when activity is low
ambitions swirl as they choose to run

direction is confused with no where to turn

 brightness is yearned to clear the dust

 

One with positive thoughts shall dance

they have learned control of their destiny

as one learns at a slow lingering steps

time pulls one all together for advancement

 

Choosing not to think backwards

mind thoughts continue to develop

pictures grow into beautiful sculptures

for the eyes to see their future visions

Feelings...

Feelings of joy can come immediately

like a breezy wind across the cool sky

most is blown clean with new thoughts

crispness encounters one spirit willingly

 

Freshness within the mind is welcomed

clears away all the stale moments buried

blueness in the sky wakens ones memories

brings hope and happiness to their soul

 

Without faith and positive attitude

one is lost in the shadows of doubt

wiping away the discolored motion

clearness of ones vision is restored

 

Uplifting visions remain if so desired

one must train their own thought patterns

for them to return and remain in their soul

thus, a feeling of freedom shall grow rapidly

Age appears each year as expected

accepting reality one moves along

until the next year comes again

 

As one grows the world changes

not complaining it is bad

but realize it moves quickly

 

A settled spot one feels content

moments appear with sudden change

questions consumes the mind - why?

 

Age can play funny games

contentment, unrest, happiness and peace

one can go with the glow or fight it

This writer choose to accept my games

for I feel and know He is always with me

now that it is my age changing year - again!

Yes, it is my birthday August 27th! I will be 80 years old - wow, oh

wow, where has the last 30 years gone? I am happy and content with

my life but, wish I had a boy friend to share it with! LOL Moved to a

new apt. in the same Senior Apt Complex ..June 3rd - the change is

good for me and all my new neighbors very welcoming...rg

Thoughts of Calm...

 

Upon the crest a vision comes

whispers of contentment showers

joy felt with complete satisfaction

peace within the mind calms fears

 

Faith must control ones emotions

for without it one will surly die empty

belief in a higher authority is a must

as one chooses their own vision

 

Without this control of ones being

calm can't diminish pain that remains

control is what we must endure

if happiness is to bring us comfort

Upon the horizon

a light shines through

with wishes upon the brow

hope for me and you

 

Time has buried us

with deep desperate thought

we wait for a message as

Life as we've known it

left us limp and drowning

Faith within ones heart

gives hope within the wind

without it one will surly parish
