Being Isolated...

 
So many are isolated

can't seem to adjust

but, if one thinks about it

you can break your routine

Go outside in the yard

or if in an apt take a walk

let the kids run around

but stay within your family

Develop your own peace

I am thankful for my pets

I am use to being on my own

but that is me, not you

It is going to take time

to end this virus that 

that has captured us

but in time it will die off...

we must protect ourselves
and keep the faith

Feel the chill in the air

can't go out anywhere

now we must stay at home

it's sad I want to roam

What can we do but pray

now can't go out to play

it's one day at a time

now moments are just mine

Soon said all will be well

 earth becomes one again

A Personal Note...

 I got my blankie, how about U?

Being a senior

and living alone

well, not alone

with Gracie and Ginger

I am staying in

only went to the store

a couple of times

I stocked up 2+ weeks ago

I made sure I had

lots of kitty food & litter

lots of mac & cheese

and such as I didn't

want to be empty handed

So, I hope all of you

are being careful

staying away from crowds

and being good to yourselves

This virus is staggering

to all of us as we have not

experienced our country

being shut down like this 

Sending best wishes to all

with prayers from my heart

as we take care of ourselves

and our beloved pets also...

A Difficult Time...

Difficult to write at this time

writer has a heavy heart

know all will be Ok

but until then we'll struggle

Protect oneself daily

be smart about ones health

Memories of him

he strolled by each day

taking his sweet time

doing it his way

A little afraid of all 

but comfort with some

came for his food

we knew he would come

Now he is gone

for the past month or two

think he was taken in

by someone he knew

We miss our guy

Comfort of one's home

is a safe place to be

all don't think on these terms

they run around in a search

Home is a safe haven

it's a private personal space

surrounds them on a daily basis

with a good meal and soft blanket

Those who can't find this

sad feelings overcome

 for true comfort of peace

never touches their hearts

Where one lives is developed

by a personal pride that grows

their surrounding is sacred

they wait to show beautiful glow

their time will come slowly

Glory of promise from above

full of a long life for all

Rain you come on a cloudy day

washes all the sins away

Love is all around us

if we take time to feel it

The Wild Geese...

The beauty of nature...

Peering out my window

see the Geese in a flock

doing their thing eating

their bodies solid as a rock

Beautiful birds a joy to watch

come every day to eat the grass

of course they leave their duty

but love to see them pass

with her growth and animals too

Dr. Here We Come...

Good news is wonderful

as we go through our daily grinds

Dr. appt. was great and all is well

Yes, I have A-Fib but apparently

to catch it early has it rewards

blood thinner med doing it's job

So, don't be afraid to go to the Dr.

earlier the better if something suspected

I went because of slight dizzy spells

See, all worked out for the best

and I have no fear at all...

you either...go if you need to

if for nothing else to feel at ease!
