Speaking to friends is a blessing

when conversations goes smoothly

contentment consumes ones body

brings calm to the spirit within

 

Associating with people of comfort

is a joy that over comes one mind

peacefulness in the confines of ones life is

appreciated and will be in the heart forever

 

One can live upon their memories

especially if the memories are of value

sometimes this is hard to find but

when found is forever cherished

 

Being one who appreciated good talk

Going alone is a empty life pattern

movement will come slowly for one

that can go with time and space

being more positive about their outcome

Meeting Paul...

 

 Meeting new people is such a joy

especially if the two of you click

his name is Paul and we got our

Covid19 Booster shot the same day 

 

We chatted in general so pleasant

yes, he is married and I respect that

I am single and talk to a lot of people

and yes I would like to find a male friend

 

But that hasn't happened as I believe most

men feel this woman will hit upon them

noooo I just want a male friend to add to my

life as I can certainly take care of me

 

The conversation where I live is all old ladies

I say that with respect and a male would

certainly lighten up a great conversation - if I

wore rings I think they would open up more

 

So these are my thoughts - Paul you were a joy

I would love friends like you and your wife

even though I haven't met her I am sure we

Rhoda and Her Two Best Friends...

 

Gracie 14 years old Mother left her

in front of my apartment for me to adopt at 4 weeks old!  

 

   

 Ginger 5 years old

adopted from an

animal shelter at the 

age of four months!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Loyalty comes with little white paws

there in the morning with the raising sun

and in the evening with the sleepy moon

 

Some people living alone need company

others go about their lives singularity happy

this life needs a meow or two on occasion

 

Being a huge animal lover I pray

for all animals of the world daily 

this is me and happy with my choice

Hoping those who read me

will help an animal in need

Uplift the Soul...

 One's stroll is strong but quiet

eyes visualize the earths growth

beauty within springs all around

young harvest brings joy to the heart

 

Being alone can have its strong points

brings one to clear the mind and opens

the heart to more than the now issues gives

new perspectives to what surrounds one

 

Sometimes facing the world and its downs

dislikes its visions but yet realize what is

one then opens the mind and heart

to find their new worldly discovery 

Life can be happy and wonderful

Age comes to everyone

whether they want it or not

days go into months and then

one says where did it all go

 

Past twenty five years are gone

quickly they pass from morning to night

without thinking we go our way

waiting for our sun to rise

 

Another birthday is here again

celebrate I will with joy

although alone that is Ok for

Gracie and Ginger celebrate with me

 

So, Happy Birthday to me

thanking the Lord for my long life

I talk to Him all the time

saying that I will live to 110!!!

A Dark World Longs For Sunshine...

Wonderlands wander within ones mind

as one lingers in a motionless pause

dreams of peaceful contentment consumes

tries to wash away uncontrollable vibes

 

Life has changed that brings discomfort

wanders through the hours of a daily run

one takes the moments as they come

with hope brightness will cover them

 

One who is of the older lived generation

life is confused meaning where it will go

it is seen today with a dark cloud but

one hopes to lighten a moment with sunshine

Believing Christian and Religious people

maintain internal faith in our creator

thus, blessings that come from Him

are granted purely by His true love

Meeting new people

can be a surprise

with new conversation

that opens ones eyes

Daily living can be a bore

same routine that's not a choice

as time creeps by slowly

it's nice to hear a new voice

Today is one of those days

a new voice did I hear

actually met him two days before

didn't realize he lived so near

Word of mouth went around

need a 'lift chair?' - someone it found

knock at my door 'it's yours', I said

happy was he voice joyous in sound

So that's my story of today

happy am I 'lift chair' given away

a new friend hoping I have found

maybe come future we can hang...around

Freedom Flight...

 

 Little birds spread your wings

eager to swiftly fly away

up and down they went

their bodies always in a sway

 

See the tree branches full

they land by a natural nest

take a snooze this afternoon

will fly after they rest

 

Freedom comes to those who wait

sparkles touch their wings

happiness is all a silent glow

appreciating all precious things

 

Evening comes very soon

nighttime all gently sleep

tomorrow is another day

peace is theirs none shall weep

Growing With Growth...

Yeah, I am learning

I CAN handle what comes my way...
 

Emotion controls most

with feelings one doesn't want

situations appear from nowhere

one goes along at ones own pace

 

No matter how calm one becomes

another uncertainty appears

questions dart in and out

the mind becomes confused

 

Situations become calm again

one sorts all reoccurring problems

confusion shall be set aside

control gained with confidence

 

This is good until the next time

lessons for control are being taught

understanding is being maintained

as one grows with age, so does the mind

2022 A New Turnaround...

Mentally I am full of joy 

I changed my thought of sadness

to smiles with happy feelings

 

If one continues to think sad

they will be sad, but

if we think joy we will

have happiness in our hearts

 

Watching Joel Osteen last night

this is what he preached

think joy and you will feel it

do an uplift and turn yourself around

 

Sounds good to me for our thoughts

are what we are and this is what

I am going to practice to change

my mental health around in 2022...
