A Plan and Goal

Bright and sunny the day begins

young leaves twinkle in the light

Perfect day all will enjoy and win

comfort becomes the mood just right

Tomorrow predicts overcast with gloom

weather just can’t give us a break

Day will reminds us of a darkened doom

almost like going to the weathers wake

Let’s smile and feel happiness today

for it is what it is that touches our soul

for He’s the one with a plan and a goal

 S untaned, brown, oiled and steamy

U nderwire tan lines giving sculpture and beauty

N ever ending longing for the salt and the sea

A Morning Ritual

Happy Birthday Gracie ~ Now 9 Years Old

You wake my senses with love and charm

as you caress my sleeping form

that brings me from a deep slumber 

you wake me to light of an early morn

Sleepy eyed I look at you

excitement stirs in your heart

knowing I am now awake

brightens your  kitty play to start

Each morning you come to me

paw touches my closed eye or cheek

some days you lean against my side

you find your own safe place to sleep

And, some morns I wake up on my own

I wonder if you forgot me that day

how silly am I for there you come

you hear me stir as I get up on my way -

Hoping for a Win-Win

Thoughts come in sort of a weary way

day gloomy but, summer will come someday

Tree limbs gliding with a windy breeze

refresh so sweetly all the young trees

Quite thought as mind moves along

emotional memories come in a song

Alone is thy self as life made her plan

pretend to draw dreams in long lost sand

Watch the movement of the daily grind

emotions come and go within the mind

Another day of peace and quiet again

this is life hoping for a blessed win-win

Speaking to a young lady today

as I tried to get an account number

straightened out - the moment

was inspiring just to listen to her

Completely knowledgeable

about the conversation that was

at hand she completed the

task with up most speed

Her manners were impeccable

her voice calm and comforting

as you can guess I didn’t have a

clue as to how to correct my issue

The young lady is Alexis from

FL state far from where I roam

I would love to meet her in person to

give her an old white lady 'fist hug’

Just to show you -

manners and common courtesy

 I am happy to say is not totally lost

to the general public after all...

Here Comes Summer...

I’s Ready...

Today the sun was bright

all well for the mind and body

it has been a long time coming as

one waited for the warmth to arrive

One can function in the cold with

bundles of garments that surrounded them

but, as the months pass one is ready to shed

ready to expose their outer shell to the sky

Today it came big, bright and fuller than the moon

whew we said, driving in our car to nowhere

as we remembered not of the months past but,

longing for the warmth to overtake our souls

Being human is hard for we jump here

and there as we search for our comfort

at first glance - the snowy cold is glorious

at first touch - the sun is what we longed for

that is until the temp goes to 95 degrees...

One waits to be

included as they silently

another calls to include

the one left behind -

God works in mysterious 

ways to take care of His own

Confusion Rushes

Dark fear of an unknown place

crowds the shadows of her mind

deep confusion rushes through

mind channels going nowhere

Through a dreary damp night

her soul was called away

to a new place to complete

visions of her lost nightmares

Longing for the tide to turn

brings a calm to her mind of

insanity as thoughts drive her

to deep depths of darkness...

Childhood

Sound penetrate ones ears

as the mind quivers with

vibrations of echos that weave

 in and out from lost voices that

revive young child thoughts

Sound from long ago buried in

shallow graves that yearn to rise

to be heard again, to bring joy

and a sense of security to ones

misunderstood puzzled dots

Sound in the deep soul remain but,

reach to be retrieved and heard for

all that was hidden is not there to

bring harm or discouragement only to

bring comfort to childhood plots...

while one plays in wonderland

Forever Home of Glory

Thoughts come about with passion

that consumes the gentle being of me

Visions of yesteryear darting, dancing

within the mind that brings me glee

Maybe it is the season of rebirth

that touches me with grace and love

Or, maybe it is the realization of oneself

that now comes forever more from above

Grateful am I for this turn in my life

a turn of rebirth, a turn that makes me whole

my path with guidance, a journey of faith

that prepares me with joy and peace in my soul

Age come to me but, with a new understanding

thoughts bring me wisdom to complete my task

I am to join Him when He says it is my time in His
forever home of glory that does not wear a mask

Continually Searching For!

Thoughts throughout time

overwhelm the mind

but, as time evolves

the inner being succumbs

One finds the pleasure are

so sublime that if one takes

a moment to indulge pleasant

thoughts of the past peace comes

If one has a vision of uncertainty

a moment of focus clears the clutter

the mind calms and comes to rest

with pleasures of forgotten memories

Thus, a calm mind is enduring

a calm mind brings one to focus

a calm mind brings peace within

a calm mind is what one is...
