An April Fool's Day

A dreary day
the sun went away
to sleep for just a bit longer

Overcast
the winter wants to last
but, we long to go out and play

Misty rain
comes gently down again
as I rise to a chilly day

Mr. Sun
please try to come
warming us so we can say

We have missed your smile
come back for awhile –
