but, the youth forgets the old

who sits alone within their walls

A call takes but a moment

slowing their world not to move so fast

A spring breeze touches my shoulder

as if to say, come walk with me

through a meadow of calm, not to

worry about what’s around the bend
 

 For all shall come to keep one safe

with faith that is carried deep within

knowing problems may arise today

but, conquered in tomorrow’s plan
 

 Peace in one’s heart feels thy grace

guiding one along the path of change

moments in time when concern of a

task that might overwhelm the body -
 

 An inspiration touches my cheek as He whispers,

The evening is grim

with shadows that whisper
quietly amongst themselves,

secrets of the darkened night

hidden in the outline of a willow

Silent is the moment as

currents stir with movement,

buzzing along the curvatures of

the foliage lined path that longs
to live beyond their dark haven

Can’t light come to thee?

Can’t streams of bright beckoned

suddenly appear for the moment?

Can’t in an instant there be a promise?

A light to shine for tomorrow?

I shan’t be bewildered for it is

with faith my answer is - yes!

Rainbow touched the sleepy valley below

Yellow streams within cast its glow

Bringing love to all who live there

Share their lives with someone who cares

Planting tulips with ruby red tips

As if the flower was touched by ones lips

Colorful blooms for all to enjoy

Brings happiness to every girl and boy

Evening comes slow but sure

Ends the day with love that is pure

As lovers wish upon a shooting star

Dreams of happiness will take them far

bringing one to their knees just for an instant

not forever as the saddened mind would suggest
