Wherever I go, my Father is with me

He shows me the right direction

gives me wisdom and confidence

how to handle the strife before me

Whenever I cry, my Father dries my tears

gives me comfort and a contented heart

for He knows I am deserving of His grace

and blessings to complete my spiritual life

Whatever I dream, He fulfills my thoughts

gives my spirit the will to seek my desires

teaching me to plan my daily walks to His

garden of purity and goodness filled with love

Whoever comes into view, with a complaint or

thought that leads me to a misguided moment

Sounds of the Past

The hum of a Bumble Bee busy at his work

brings to mind its lost memories from long ago

sounds of the past enter the channels of the mind

as thoughts are triggered of a peaceful existence

Life is not serene as noises wave in an out

of a journey recalled in thoughts from long ago

childhood lessons taught and then carefully used

discovery of adventures while one ran with play

young years are gone for they faded into the past

but, the heart is full as thoughts overwhelm the soul

confidence within one's mind is shared with
those of immediate contact, sharing harmony

As the world storms around mad at someone or
something I, being on an oasis of calm, spread inspiration
in this otherwise hectic day of confusion and mistrust

Gaining new appreciation of mankind and their
wayward ways as the people of anger are drawn to a
point of peace that surrounds them with calm

or take heed for an -
upheaval eruption, shall not wait

Dormant sleep with sadness
Happiness doesn’t seem to last

Slowly come my way
As if to bring me silent peace
