Crafting words into an art
Her poems rise and fall
Excellent in every part
Speaking to us all
A lover of the feline sort
Kindness in her reviews
A Poet who writes with her heart
To Rhoda - we love you!

Free Verse...

Promise of a Rose
A moment of promise comes
to those who take time
to stop and smell the roses
Heard is this old phrase
once or twice, but still
a promising thought
Petals fragrant and soft
of pure hues delights those
who pursue its delicate form
The rose is full of romance
for many lovers for its beauty
shall flourish - until it dies

Free Verse or Unrhymed Poetry Form has no rhyme, no special line length or no special pattern. It sounds like natural speech. It tells a story or paints a picture. It uses carefully chosen words to describe experiences or feelings. It is written like a poem and not like a paragraph. It must make sense to the reader…rg

Ruth's Rose Double Fold...

Opened My Eyes with Love

He came to me in a breeze, did thee
Taking my hand as He planned
His grip took my fear loves me so dear
Quickly dove opened my eyes with love
Those who cry a plea for truth run to see
His body grand, His outreached hand
Reaching for me to hear His voice clear
Quickly dove opened my eyes with love
He came to me in a breeze, did thee
His grip took my fear loving me so dear
His body grand, His outreached hand
Quickly dove opened my eyes with love

Heaven - is a state of mind
This is what I hear them say from time to time
When I say them, I mean those
Who talk of a far away place none who knows?
Seventh day He took His rest
Some place called Heaven – He created His best
Think they mean His Heaven? Hmmm
