The Lightning Tale

 Lightning sizzles the darkened sky

not asking anyone how or why

brings depth to the moments hand

terrifies every creature and man

 Moves with wild startling speeds

screams with a fire tongue that leads

looses its uncontrolled inner soul

as fury commands its devilish toll

 Lightning the rage starts to succumb

all bow, their souls burnt into one

wiped away from coolness they found

only to be burnt, buried into the ground

 Violence slowly comes to an end

as swirles calm the darkened wind

brings peace with a sorrowed frown

distant echo’s laugh like a clown -

A beautiful morn touches

my window sill today

bringing a sunny glow

to the usual humid shore

Surrounded by water our

island carries a cast of low

clouds trying to create an

artist canvas of still life

The Heart...

There comes a time in ones life

when the cloud that covered

ones mind suddenly opens -

New rays bring light of happiness

light of reform, light of rebirth

Slowly, the mind is restored as

faith again takes the painful load

that consumed the tired brow of dismay

surely, restore ones life with glad tidings

of calm, that the day will be - as promised

Clear skies with delightful moments one

endures the joy returned in a bountiful leap

Again, new vision to eyes once dimmed

by gloom that surrounds the world on

an everyday dislocated weary basis

It is a time to rejoice, to cheer

with glee at the discovery of what

He had envisioned for ones life

Quickly shadows of the darkened hall

disappeared, His promise is the light

Gracefully restored as it should be this heart

again is full of love, full of a bright glow -

until the next time but, also with a new

reasoning within ones mind how to

calmly handle grief as it arises

 Combating the Devil who casts his hate

creating a painful lost life, His glory teaches

one how to cope and come to terms within

 their own peace again, one step at a time -

This heart was shown just that - by Him

A morning dawn -

the essences of a summer’s glow,

brews just over the horizon, low

Amazing rays of beauty -

as sun lite streams filters sun’s light,

brings life to all that see her bright

Nature’s newborn seedlings -

reach for the warmth brings them strength,

as they grow taller in their worldly length

Awake from a peaceful sleep -

come alive by sprinkles of morning dew,

creatures wake with displays of brilliant hue

Strolling through the majestic garden -

breath fragrant from summer flowers,

from every color of a rainbow’s shower

Summer time brings creative growth -

to beautiful gardens all around the world,

for every precious little boy and girl

A Brother Lost - Free Verse...

Thoughts come to mind

not everyday, but enough

that my thoughts of the past

of a brother gone from me,

a brother who chose to be lost

living in his own private world

This is his right and choice, but

pain from within my soul remains,

pain of anger and confusion as to

why life dealt us the hand of departure,

my memories come again as I remember

moments when my big brother was there

I shall contain fondness in my heart and

remember him, for nothing in this world can take

my memories of the good that we shared as children

from me, love that rids the pain of hell we endured,

my sisterly vision sees him within my mind with love

The moon of the night caress the barren limbs

of the sycamore which longs for her re-growth

 Gentle breezes whisper through her aged branches

love with adorn protection from the sycamore that surrounded them

'Wings on the Sun...'
Swallowtail, Yellow and Black Butterfly ~ Gold Sunflower

Butterflies

circle spring flowers

 that is in splendid bloom,

fluttering their wings

grasping gently the golden

cone of honey within the

center of their found treasure

Taking leisurely sips

from the golden food

that will nourish again

their weakened wings,

that will take them on

a flights journey -

where butterflies go

Golden halos

surrounds their

delicate descending

path of discovery,

protecting their wings

from danger as they

drink the golden nectar

Strength revises

vibrant delicate souls

purifying an inner core,

cleansing and preparing

for a flight ascending

to a glorious height -

Spring - you came to me

a budding miniature rose bush

with a deep red hue that holds

dew drops between her petals
 

 Summer - you came to me

your natural radiant beauty that

showered me with delicate buds

bringing me happiness for days
 

 Autumn - you came to me

to my surprise coming one last time

a single miniature rose bud for me

to entwine with grateful joy
 

 Winter - you came to me

snow to put you to sleep resting safely

until the following Spring and then you

will peek again through the soil -
